MARSHALL HOUSE PROJECT- Rancho Debut!
Marshall House Project (Voted 2025’s Best Funk Band of the North Bay by The Bohemian) is a driving soul funk outfit with one foot rooted deep in the pockets of the past and the other fearlessly exploring the deep fry of the future. The sound is an eclectic electric love child: the product of an affair between Jimi Hendrix and The Funky Meters, after a long night of drinking with space aliens and jamming to Bob on the jukebox. MHP delivers a volcanic performance of energetic funk and slinky soul with a psychedelic twist and a chili salt rim. The mission: to create an uplifting dance experience spun full of twists and turns, interlaced with conscious reflective lyrics and sizzling solos expanding, contracting and alive, like a universe unto itself.

They are the band that recorded ‘Cheap Thrills’, which has been voted by Rolling Stone as one of the greatest classic rock albums of all time and which, along with their hit version of “Piece of My Heart” is in the Grammy Hall of Fame, and the Library of Congress. Their energy, spirit and their story define a time when music was at the center of a cultural revolution, yet their music is still listened to and loved.

The Hot Licks, original members of Dan’s backing band, perform Dan’s classic songs in the style that Dan Hicks invented – Folk/Swing! – A blend of Gypsy Jazz, Folk and Swing with lots of vocal harmonies. The Hot Licks are dedicated to preserving the original sound and spirit in the way Dan taught them! They carry the torch for Folk-Swing with his signature style that has inspired so many others. “The group’s hallmark country/jazz styled vocals shined, highlighted by delectable guitar and violin solos.
The spirit and the sound of that previous Incarnation with Dan Hicks and his spirit is imbued in their sound. A rare occasion not to be missed!” – Arne Frager, The Plant Studios

Dinner & A Show with MIRACLE MULE
Miracle Mule is a rocking, hoof-stomping, tail-swishing band from Marin County, California. Some folks might describe our music as good-time Americana, others might say it’s down-home country with a heavy dose of Louisiana hot sauce. We prefer to just call it “swampy tonk.” However you describe it, it’s fun and energetic, irresistibly danceable, with rich harmonies and solid song writing. We play at most of the more prestigious venues in the north bay, as well as a host of wineries, festivals and concert series. We have a loyal following, but there’s always room for more. Check us out soon. Dance, Laugh, Bray.

Dinner Show with PAUL THORN – a special intimate solo performance!
Thorn’s new album, Life is Just A Vapor, contains some beauties: “Life is a vapor, let’s live it while we can”; “tough times don’t last, but tough people do” (from “Tough Times Don’t Last”); “any mountain up ahead is just a hill” (from “Old Melodies”). They’re words of advice, comfort, support, encouragement, often meant to uplift, especially in times of struggle.

BBQ on the Lawn with PAUL THORN BAND
When it comes to songwriting, less is more, and simplicity is strength. Just ask Paul Thorn, who’s spent three decades turning soulful grooves and small syllables into songs that pack a big wallop. Maybe he learned the power of minimalism from his years as a pro boxer; maybe it just comes naturally. But whether he’s targeting heads, hearts, hips or the occasional funny bone, he somehow manages to condense large nuggets of wisdom into tight little mantras, the kind embroiderers stitched onto pillows before internet memes existed.
