Banana – (Lowell Levinger) has played with lots of varied bands since The Youngbloods moved to West Marin in 1967. He plays a variety of instruments and sings songs that tell stories. He does duo gigs with his pals, David Nelson, Barry Melton and Ramblin’ Jack Elliot, as well as with lots of bands including Zero, Norton Buffalo and the Knockouts, Barry “The Fish” Melton Band, Dan Hicks,The Michael Barclay Blues Band, Mimi Farina, and The Papermill Creek Rounders. Banana tours Italy and England and Norway when he can. Pre-Covid, he toured with Little Steven And The Disciples Of Soul (Bruce Springsteen’s guitar player). His repertoire goes from blues to country to folk .. your basic classic Americana.
